Volunteering at Spruce

: The Robertson Trust currently supports our rug binding training programme.

At Spruce Carpets we operate a structured volunteer programme, and we’re always looking for new volunteers. People from all backgrounds are welcome here, even if they don’t have any previous relevant experience.

The Big Lottery Fund currently funds our mainstream Volunteer Programme, “Real Life: Real Prospects”.

The People and Community Fund supports our volunteering programme “Skills for Life” for young people aged between 16-24 years who live in Glasgow.

Why volunteer with us?

  • Gain valuable work experience and training − including forklift, health & safety, rug making, manual handling and first aid
  • Variety of roles to suit everyone − including warehouse assistant, sales assistant, clerical, driver (with full driving licence) and much more
  • We operate an open door policy – you don’t need any particular skills to join us, we’ll provide your training
  • We’re a Social Enterprise – so we welcome people with business and commercial experience who can contribute to our development

Interested? Come and join one of our Taster Sessions

Our Taster Sessions give potential volunteers the chance to come along and experience a day of voluntary work.

You’ll get a tour round the premises, meet members of staff and speak to the Volunteer Coordinator.

You’ll be able to talk to existing volunteers and hear how volunteering has benefited them.
