Elder Park Housing Association Operates over 1300 Properties in South Glasgow

In her role as Housing Manager, Elaine sees Spruce Carpets as a trusted partner. Here’s her story.

“At the heart of Spruce’s offer is the fact that they are a social enterprise. They think about people before profit. We’ve worked together for many years with the shared aim of helping people create homes from empty properties.

Everybody has the right to a safe, comfortable home and flooring is the aspect that’s often forgotten. It’s about dignity.

We cater to a wide range of customers, some with complex needs, many have nothing at all, and all are facing the challenges of the cost-of-living crisis and the fall-out from Covid. We work with Spruce to ensure good quality flooring is provided and the respect which goes with it. I also know the reputation of the valuable work they undertake upskilling local people through employability programmes.
